Brand new mother daughter ski duo had amazing success with SkiBig3 Banff Adventure Hub gear rental and private ski instructor. Skied 3 days. Also enjoyed dogsledding in Canmore! Totally exceeded our expectations! Shops were variety of price points and restaurants offered a variety of options. Every turn of your drive was breathtaking! My teen stayed off of social media and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery during our drives! Everyone was extremely courteous and friendly in this town!

It is an absolutely charming town nestled in a most beautiful natural environment. The people were all very warm, kind, and helpful, although interestingly, they all (but one person I met) seemed to be from the UK, New Zealand, or Australia. But the accents were great, and so were the people. Next vacation... Australia! Back to Banff... a great getaway whether for skiing in the winter or simply unwinding, reflecting, and pondering the next steps, or getting your dream girl to say "yes" to the ring.

Banff and the surroundings are very picturesque and the towering Rockies add to the grandeur of the place. The ride in the Gondolas and the walk in the snow at the top is something no visitor must miss. Lake Minnewanka in all it's frozen splendour with the cabins in it's midst is spectacular when the sun comes up. Lake Louise - a few Kms away - is also something to behold. All in all a fabulous place to spend a few days.

There was a severe lack of snow this year (an el Niño year) which interfered with some of our planned outdoor activities, and meant we had to drive to Lake Louise for decent snow. We largely avoided downtown Banff because of the large number visitors and tourist shops. Parks staff at the information centre were very helpful.

Gondola rides was closed that time, for 5 days under maintanances must be mentioned or announced in your offer, so I dont have to booked too near to location a bit disappointed..but overall we still enjoyed downtown Baff.
Amazing views from our room. The highway was below in the valley and there was very minimal traffic noise. Very close to get to downtown Banff and all the amazing restaurants and shopping, and yet the distance from town provided the peace and quiet we were looking for. Deer grazing right outside the patio door added to the tranquil setting. Excellent food at the Bistro, with breathtaking views as you enjoy your meal. All staff were friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the availability of pet friendly rooms.
Where do I start?!
Fabulous hotel beautifully located in downtown Banff.
Spent 3 glorious days making the most of the hiking trails from the hotel, then enjoyed sloshing around in the hot pools to ease post hiking muscles.
The bar is a great convivial spot, and although we ate in the restaurant one night the best places to eat are 2 minutes walk away.
The roaring fire in the lobby gave the entire property the sweet smell of woodsmoke.
We honestly loved our stay and would highly recommend.
The location is the best thing about the property. Very close to the centre of Banff and also right by the highway. If you are staying here and skiing at Banff Sunshine, then the access to the main road is an advantage. The self service check in and checkout via the app was awesome since I didn’t have to speak with anyone. I wish more hotels would do the same. Finally, we really liked the design of the rooms and the overall vibe of the place. Wifi was good too!
Nice location for Banff town, 20 minute slow walk or 5 mins on the cheap frequent local busses that run past the hotel, the stop is only a minutes walk from the hotel. We used the outside spa which was fun, good to catch up with some of the other guests. Underground car park was cheap and very convenient, they did suggest you can park for free round the back of the hotel but it didn't look somewhere I'd want to leave the car.
Lovely suite hotel in Banff, perfect for our family ski vacation. For a small fee we were moved to a room with a great view of the mountains. Super comfy beds, no noise, friendly staff and fresh coffee tea and milk brought to our room daily. It’s a 15/20 minute walk into Banff which suited us, there’s a free shuttle if you prefer. We didn’t eat in the restaurant so can’t comment on the food. Would definitely recommend
Juniper Hotel completely exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect and the view from the Bistro was one of the best in the whole of Banff. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering a shuttle into town and also free rentals of snowshoes, ice cleats, hiking backpacks and bear spray. I would recommend anyone staying in Banff to stay at the Juniper hotel!
We had stayed here 3 years ago and liked it. It's been noticeably renovated since then so even better. Perfect location a short walk from "downtown" Banff. Staff was very nice, Eva in particular was just extra friendly and helpful. Loved the free but secure indoor parking with easy access into the hotel. Stayed 5 nights, could've stayed another week!
Great location on Banff Ave with many restaurants close by including Pacini’s located in the hotel lobby. The rooms were clean, comfy beds and lots of pillows. The bathroom only had a shower but it was nice and large with very new, sleek facilities. The Spa was fantastic though, I would go to the Spa again but not stay at the hotel.
We enjoyed out 3 night stay, we were within walking distance from downtown with public transportation close. There was a park next to the hotel we enjoyed! The hotel was clean and plenty of free parking downstairs. Yes, I said free about something in the town of Banff!
Outstay at the Banff aspen lodge was fantastic. Great value for money with good facilities and friendly staff. On-site breakfast is good. Really central location. The cafe attached to the hotel draws locals so there is a good atmosphere and mix of locals and visitors.
This hotel is excellent! The room was spacious, clean, and very modern, the restaurant has good variety, excellent food, and a nice atmosphere, staff are very friendly, and the hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Banff.
The room was extremely clean. The bed were very comfortable. Decor in the room was very mountain themed in keeping with the Banff theme. The hotel is located right in downtown Banff accessbile to everything. The room was quiet.
We really enjoyed the nice clean rooms and how it was walking distance to downtown Banff (12 min walk to the heart). Breakfast was good for a hotel. Parking is underground so watch the size of your vehicle!
modern hotel in great location close to all sights, shops and restaurants of downtown banff. although expensive compared to hotels in other destinations, it seems to offer fair value by local standards.
This hotel had a hot tub which was nice after a long day hiking. Also the location is close enough to walk to banff ave but still a bit of a trek to get to the main area of downtown.
The hotel was convenient to downtown Banff and the room set up was nice. If you have a room with 2 beds having the separation is nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
