Fabulous place to spend a week - we visited the Old Town and also walked to the Tombs of the Kings. Great coastal walk with good footpaths and great views of the sea and small beaches.
We visited the livelier parts too - Bar Street etc - wouldn't want to stay on top of there as the bars are open until at least 2am but didn't see any trouble and good friendly staff.
Drinks a little expensive (especially the wine) but food was standard prices

The first thing to know is that there is not one single "...
The first thing to know is that there is not one single "center" or "turistic" part of the city. the majority of turistic shops are on the seaside, but in the inner part of the city and I have to say the are really few. Their opening time are quite weird for my standard, at 5 there was almost nothing open there, while on the seaside almost everything was open till late. In general not a lot of interesting and cute shops, I would say more low quality objects, no handmade and similar.
The archeological park is amazing and the Tombs of the kings are worthy a visit, I was really amazed.
the taxi for and from the airport are really expensive, but there is a bus, 623 which brings you to a bus stop from where is possible, very easily to get busses for each side of the city. each bus ticket is 2 euros while from 9pm is 3. the taxi from at to the airport is on average around 35 euros.
take care of the opening times of the museum because some are closed on Sunday or on Monday or which shorted working time.
On Sunday and Monday a lot of things are closed on the island.
A lot of archeological sites aren´t reachable if not by car.
I plan, if I go again, to rent a car, which doesn´t seem to be soo expensive, just keep in mind that they drive on the left side of the street.
People are also less kind that in Greece, where every time I say thank you, they immediately answer you´re welcome.
I would not say it is a bad place, it doesn´t meet my taste. If I have to suggest a place to visit I wouldn´t suggest Cyprus and if I have to suggest Cyprus, having seen just quickly Nicosia (as a city I didn´t like it at all, while the archeological museum is beautiful) and Limassol, I would suggest Paphos.
I love Greece and the Greek culture, maybe because of that I was a bit disappointed.

Lots of work going on to improve this City.
Lots of work going on to improve this City. Definitely on the 'Up' with constant road/pavement improvements, OK, bit of a pain but has to be done for a better experience for tourists. Our favourite eating places were Dias Zeus and Alkion. We will be back again later in the year. Taxi to airport cost 35 euros but think you could get for 30, shop around. Hope you have a nice time as Cypriot people are very nice, honest and friendly.
Incredible place with very high service level and comfort at all zones - reception, room, restaurants, pools, spa, gym. Staff very friendly, welcoming and responsive. Any problem solved immediately and easy, with smile. You are welcomed guest at this hotels, you really feel that.
It was amazing holiday for us, we are definitely come back.
We already have "our place" at Paris, Rome..... now we have "our place" at Cyprus - Elysium Hotel.
If the quality and comfort really valuable for you - this is definitely your place.
Excellent hotel, all the facilities that you would want. Great breakfast and eating options. We weren't all inclusive and the drinks / food were a reasonable price. Attentive and numerous staff who were always keen to provide a good service. Just a 20 minute walk from the main area in Pafos which was lovely and had some great historical sites to visit. I think that the only thing that we would change is to maybe have a car next time so that we could enjoy some more of cyprus. Very easy transfer to the airport.
The proximity of the beach and the fact that the area has some nice bars and restaurants were both plus features. In addition, the hotel may be a bit far from the center and the old castle and ancient sights, but it is pretty well connected to these as well as the highway system, providing access to multiple locations (provided you have a car). Finally, the staff seemed pretty friendly, especially the staff at the pool bar.
property is located in an amazing place, stunning landscapes. Staff, villas, cleanliness everything is just exceeded my expectations. I’m so happy there is finally a true 5 star gateway in Cyprus! Amazing attitude to the kids, all staff is so friendly, prompt. Villas are so new, designs are fantastic. can’t wait when they will open the rest of resort including SPA (they said it will be open on 2022)
If you wanna relaxing , this is the right adress , one of the best appart hotel in cyprus , good location from center and harbour just 10 min walking ,shopping mall also is arround 15 min walking......Tina was the best really she give us all facilities thanks for her , i never see receptionist helpful like her 😊 ......massage service also available just contact reception and book
This is a marvelous hotel! Completely renovated. Rooms are spaceous and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is excellent. Location is close to the old town with many shops and restaurants and city market. Recommended rooms are those with a sea view, on floor 3 or 4. The sunsets are beautiful! Very good value for the money.
View is amazing from the room. Nice little balcony.
Concierge in lobby was helpful and nice with renting the electric scooters outside of the hotel.
The area is very nice with lots of shops, restaurants and places were you can book trips in cyprus for cheap prices that are shown outside the stores.I booked trough Viator, In retrospect it was a mistake.
The stuff is super helpful and polite. From the moment you step into the hotel till you leave you feel you are heard and valued as a customer. The water park is excellent kept kid busy all day. The dining area is magical in the night..the events organized keep you amused. They do value the customer and you are being treated politely and with smiles.
Entertainment team do well, kids dance and evening shows are so great, food quality and availability throughout the day, coffee quality, lobby music and atmosphere, French bowls, pool size, giant outside area with lots of sunbeds and umbrellas, overall nice and cozy view. One of the best 4-star hotels we've been to. Keep up the good work!
Location was perfect for exploring Cyprus. Free car park available at hotel. Breakfast excellent, lots of choice, delicious food. Hotel & outside area very clean. Sunbed always available. Courtesy room available as we had late check out. Room good size, clean. Excellent having kettle for tea & coffee.

The special Michelin restaurant included...And and great athmosphere and the night performance.
Easy access to the beach. For me it was the best, clean and safe beach in Paphos ever and it just 2 min walk from the hotel!! I tried many other beaches with the kids.
Nice swimming pool area. Delicious breakfast and dinner.
Amazing view
Lidl food shop just 5-10 min walk
The outdoor pool area was the best part of the hotel very luxurious and suitible for a 5 star resort.
The service was excellent! the staff were very warm and welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. my room was clean and specious and most importantly quiet!
The personell was super understanding and explained everything, gave us a map, answered all our questions. The location was perfect as it is only a 5-10 minute walk to the Old Town and a 10-20 minute walk to the tourist area, also the harbour and bus station.
Great location and the villas are really lovely. The local restaurants are excellent. This was a wonderful base for touring Cyprus. The pool areas are very good and cleaned regularly. Kitchens well equipped with spacious living areas.
Honestly, this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in in Cyprus. Great place, location, architecture, view, hotel amenities, cleanliness of the rooms, friendliness of the staff.
