Wonderful, World Heritage-listed Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.
Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.
Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the River Avon overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-levelled Pulteney Weir and Grade I-listed Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options are the Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and high street stores on Milsom and George streets.
North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.
Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath accommodation, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.
Fantastic vibe yet calm . Turn busy corners then quiet ones so many restaurants and cafes to choose from. Bars shope galore. Banks. Transport. Good boat trip on the river Avon. Friendly people. Lots of places of worship. Yummy choices of icecream places. Very quaint. Thermae baths must to do...lovely roman discoveries limestone buildings...very talented buskers. Loved it

Beautiful friendly city. The architecture is stunning. Plenty of ways to see the city over a weekend with an open top bus, walking or take a boat trip down the river. Make sure to see the Roman Baths and The Royal Crescent. Lots of fantastic eateries, cafes and bars. Highly recommend The Gin Bar!

A vibrant, busy city with beautiful architecture and some lovely eating places. Lots of interest and history in a compact, walkable city centre easily accessible from nearby hotels. Not cheap to stay, but that's probably a result of its' compact nature. Plenty of places to eat and good quality dining available too. Didn't visit the theatre this visit but on previous visits have enjoyed the night out - parking is expensive too, but well placed for easy walking access into the city centre (park and ride is much cheaper of course but we opted to be in the centre for this visit).

Bath is a lovely city.
Bath is a lovely city. It’s full of architecture and easy to walk around the city. Lots of great bars and eating options. Don’t think there would be a lot for families to do. Two or three days is plenty.

We loved the Roman Baths, you get a free audio phone so it guides you round the Bath and Museum!
Definitely the Abbey tour, it’s 212 steps but well worth it when you get to the bell and clock face- I’ve never been inside a clock before it was amazing!
The square food was delicious and highly recommend!
OPA underground Greek restaurant was also incredible and such a vibe and experience.

We stayed for two nights in Bath and as we had been before this was enough time for us. However, I would suggest a three night stay if you have not been before then you won’t feel like you are rushing.
The best advice I could give anyone is to take the Mayor’s walking tour. This is a free, two hour tour given by volunteers and they will not accept any payment.
The information given is amazing, the pace was good and the guide cares about your enjoyment and safety.
The tours do not h e to be booked and take place twice a day. Meeting point outside the Pump Rooms.
If you get chance to do the tour to the top of the cathedral that is also excellent. See behind the clock and the workings of the clock and bells. Amazing views is a bonus!
The Roman Baths and pump rooms are also amazing and definitely worth visiting.
If you want a bit of chillaxing time yet the Thermae Soa Baths. You won’t be disappointed but this does need to be booked in advance.
Room was big and had all the things one would expect in a decent hotel, and is modern and well thought-out. Toilet and shower were good, and the shower system had integrated controls for temperature and flow rate (i.e. it isn't the kind where the hot and cold water have separate knobs and you have to make corrections bit by bit to get the temperature and flow rate you want). Buffet breakfast was wonderful for such a cheap price.
Note: If you are getting here by train, Oldfield Park is nearer than Bath Spa to this hotel.
The hotel is centrally located, with eateries and pubs around it as soon as you step outside the door. Kingsmead Square is a 2 minute walk and Bath Abbey, the train station are just a quick 10 minute walk from there hotel. The hotel rooms and bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. Very comfortable bed and there’s also a TV in the room. They also have a restaurant and bar inside the hotel. Breakfast is served in the morning. The staff was very helpful and friendly too. All in all a very good stay.
it was perfectly situated in the city centre, yet quiet. I had a room with a window, but didn’t feel overlooked in any way.
The space is incredibly well used and perfect for a solo traveller and the shower is fantastic - especially when you factor in Bath’s water, which makes your skin feel incredible!
The bed was so comfortable and I slept so, so well.
The staff at the front desk are so welcoming and clearly care about you having the best stay possible, both at the hotel and in the city.
Beautiful boutique hotel in the Town centre. The breakfast was great, many options to choose from at the downstairs café which was full of character. The next door pub wad also fun for a drink. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking at the nearby Waitrose, 2 min walk from the hotel was convenient. Our room was rather small but worked well for one night stay. Bed and linnen very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and shower was great! Overall a great stay.
The hotel had great ambiance, was stylishly decorated and spacious with a high ceiling. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed. My husband and I had breakfast, dinner and drinks downstairs at the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the dishes (I especially loved the lamb belly and sourdough with whipped feta). Perfect for couples who need a good feed and a little getaway in Bath. 10/10
The bed was so comfortable. My room very quiet overnight, had a great sleep. This is a traditional English hotel so don't expect fancy charger sockets or mod cons and the water takes a while to heat up in the shower but you always get fantastic reception service and friendly staff and you cannot beat the location for being in the centre of Bath. Parking is a bonus at £12 for 24 hours but need to book ahead as it is limited.
Really nice rooms, comfortable beds, large bathrooms, and incredible breakfast and coffee. We stayed during an unseasonably hot week in summer and the rooms were quite warm and didn’t cool down. They did have fans but some were broken or not hooked up correctly (no water tank hooked to the portable unit) which made sleeping tough. Overall, nice hotel with friendly staff and wonderful food. The heat was the only downside.
The hotel was perfectly located in the city centre and also near to the Bath Forum, where my Mother and I had tickets too in the evening. The staff were lovely - somebody even called during our stay to check everything was OK. The breakfast was really amazing - so much variety and plenty of room to sit. The hotel is very new but my Mother was impressed by the sound-proofing.
Beautiful hotel located not far from Bath city centre (15 min walk) with wonderful decorations and friendly, helpful staff. The spa was really enjoyable, especially the outside heated spa pool. The room was faultless and very decadent with a 4 poster bed to our surprise. Gorgeous marble bathroom with wooden features. The room had a lovely coffee machine which was great.
Easy to get to. Parking is on-site. Hotel was very clean. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room is small but has everything you need. The beds were really comfortable. We took the bus from right across the street directly to the main shopping area by The Abbey and Roman baths. Ut was very quick and easy to get there and back using public transit.
The location was perfect. Not too far from the city centre but far enough that it wasn't too loud. The room was extremely clean which we were very happy about. The room space was nice, bed was extremely comfy, easy check in, bathroom/shower was modern and easy to use and it was very quiet in the mornings - most hotels we get woken up early by other guests
Stunning hotel within calm and green grounds, and a short walk into Bath City Centre.
I booked the Deluxe Double Room with Garden View which was a lovely large room, decorated as expected, lovely bathroom.
Free Parking (which is like gold dust in Bath!)
Lovely staff
Overall great stay and will be back again soon whilst we are working in Bath.
Excellent, friendly welcome on arrival. Helpful and attentive.
Room was spacious, comfy and clean.
Breakfast was superb.
Location was ideal for the centre on Bath, with the provision of on-site parking being the main draw when compared to hotels in the city centre.
The location is right in the middle of everything which makes it exceptionally busy around the hotel, but very easy for a quick one-night in Bath. We appreciated the staff who sent us a beautiful local cheese and chutney box and helped us plan our visit.
