I loved the courtyard and private upper terrace, the garden, the location and the property had everything you could need. There was a lot of attention to detail. Being greeted by Florian was lovely and he and the housekeeper were delightful. Helpful and very friendly. Florian met me at the port with my luggage having stored it for me until my ferry arrived. Much appreciated.

Poros is a great island to visit and many come by yacht small and large because the harbour stretches the length of the town. All along the edge of the water are cafés, bars and restaurants. The architecture of the old buildings is beautiful. There is even a rule that all roofs must be terracotta tiles! The beaches aren’t the best I’ve been to in Greece but there are some decent ones on the main part of the island away from the town.

    Fantastic island, vibrant yachting community.

Fantastic island, vibrant yachting community. Ferries from Athens drop you in the centre of Poros. Stunning walk along harbourfront, views to the sea and mainland and the beautiful hilltop town. Very good restaurants with cheap and fresh seafood. Lots of shops, inexpensive supermarkets and bakeries. Good walking around the island with marked footpaths. Great beaches nearby, nearest 10 mins on foot. Free minibus around main part of the island and inexpensive taxis. All round great destination for all ages.

A beautiful little Island just a short ferry trip from Athens with access to other Islands like Hydra. Lot's of small shops, mini-marts, restaurants etc -plenty of choice to eat out. Lovely walks - if you hire a car you can visit the main places in a day or two.

Poros is one of the most underrated islands of Greece,...

Poros is one of the most underrated islands of Greece, indeed. It's very small but beautiful, serene, calm , clean, quite and picturesque. Only 1hr 15minutes ferry travel from Piraeus port of Athens. There are lots of restaurants, caffe, supermarkets, shops. All types of food are available there including Greek food specially. People are welcoming, friendly and very generous. If needed laundry shops are there too. The clock tower is an added area where people can go see the entire island from bird's view. It's not so expensive like Mykonos and Santorini. But one can get the flavours of Santorini or Mykonos there. As a whole it's worth visiting Poros.

    Calm, non touristy. Good food.

Calm, non touristy. Good food. Easy to walk or get a cab anywhere. We were off season (late September) and came by ferry for a few days break from Athens but have been before in high season in our yacht and it was good then too. Ate at Dimitris and Apagio Tavern, great meat and fish at the market, good coffee and lunch at clock cafe, good bakery and great ice cream and helpful pharmacy in the square by the meat and fish market.

Poros is an authentic, laidback Greek island, which also happens to be a major stop-off for yacht charters and flotillas. But, if you're not a yachtie, (we're not) they don't spoil the feel too much. Only a few paces away from the yacht berths, you can find ouzeries where they still give you proper, free mezes with your drink, as you watch the old boys play backgammon and shoot the breeze. Or you can relax in more upmarket, restaurants and bars - but you've come to Greece, be more Greek! If you're in the square boasting Destino's Kafeneion, the locals' bar next door and Pavlou Shop which sells "plumbing fixtures, beach equipment and church supplies" you're in the right place.

The hotel is situated in a highly convenient location allowing easy access to beaches and to the main town, all within easy walking distance. The hotel is well maintained and managed and the staff at the hotel were both exceptionally welcoming and very helpful with any requests. The breakfast provided was plentiful and varied and even satisfied my fussy child!! The pool area is excellent and was heartily enjoyed by us. I would highly recommend staying at the Saga Hotel - it felt like a home away from home, like we were part of the family.

To lie on perfect white cotton sheets in the early morning with the curtains billowing in on the gentlest warm Saronic breeze and gaze across to the islands scattered in the blue pink light is to experience the image you dreamed of made real.. Book the top floor.. the pain of the punishing steps up easily outweighed by the gain... they are a killer especially if you've already manhandled luggage up from the town. Taxi advised.. 5 € without luggage 7€ with.. Host was excellent and dealt with our minor issues immediately..

Odyssey Suites is an absolutely beautiful little hotel on the Island of Poros.. All with lovely views of the sea. Fabulous balconies to watch the sunset while looking down on the roof top herb garden with bougainvillea growing freely. . Beautifully decorated. Nothing was too much trouble. We managed to stay another night and Dora couldn't be more accommodating. The breakfasts were amazing. You could never go hungry here. Dinner was equally delicious. Dora is one of the nicest people ever. We can't wait to go back.

Our hosts were welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable with everything needed for an overnight stay on Poros. Very conveniently located for the ferries both across from Galatas and to Idra island. Despite being quite central it was quiet. There was also a cafe very close for an early breakfast before getting on the ferry. A bonus was also having a proper (Nespresso) coffee machine in the room with pods provided although we took our own.

I loved and absolutely enjoyed the stay. I am remembering my room number to come back and request for that particular room the next time. I remember it as magical experience, and would like to stay there for a week next time, as now it was just 1 night. It felt like a family resort, no fuss, just a minimalist relax. And the simplicity did not overpower the beauty of nature, which was abundant there at the hotel. Calm, beautiful, on your own.

Loved everything about the hotel from its ambiance to the size of the room. Our room was facing the beach and it was beyond perfect. The hotel staff were also very friendly, when we got to Poros we didn't realise taxis don't take card payments and the bureau was only in the town centre, the hotel kindly offered to pay for our taxi until we got our money changed. Will definitely be staying here again if I went back to Poros

The pool was crystal clear with reclining chairs under sun umbrellas and a nice adjacent bar where drinks and snacks were served.

The hotel is great in a good location. Poros town is steep, and the walk from the shore to the hotel can be difficult for people with mobility problems, and inaccessible for people needing a wheel chair. The breakfast is very good, located on the third floor, with a mesmerizing view..
