Standard hotel of this type. Nothing extraordinary about it, and by Swedish standards not too dear

Klockrent för min del - uppfyllde allt jag behövde.
Helsingborg is one of Sweden’s oldest cities and is strategically located on the narrowest part of the Öresund strait. The Kärnan tower was part of a Danish fortress which used to control sea traffic, and views from the top stretch to Helsingør on the other side. Today, ferries regularly make the short trip across to Denmark and it is a Helsingborg tradition to have dinner on them, an act known as ’tura’.
Although the port forms much of the attractive waterfront, Helsingborg still has several beaches. One is lined by a wooden boardwalk, and the sandy Tropical Beach is under the shade of palm trees.
Norra Hamnen has been regenerated from a dock to modern yacht marina, overlooked by apartments, restaurants and bars. One of these is in Dunkers Culture House, an arts centre designed by the son of the Sydney Opera House architect.
The town hall clocktower is one of the most prominent landmarks and Kullagatan was the country’s first pedestrian shopping street. Väla is one of Scandinavia’s largest shopping centres and north-west is Sofiero Palace whose beautiful gardens are packed with blooming rhododendrons. In 18th-century Ramlösa Park mineral water springs emerge from red rock.
Booking.com’s Helsingborg accommodation includes luxury hotels, cheap hostels by the train station and B&Bs near Ängelholm-Helsingborg Airport.

A lovely city.
A lovely city. Slottshagen is a small castle a few hundred meters from the ferry & train station, and during daytime hours, you can pay to go to the top for a nice view of the area. A couple of kilometers from there is Fredriksdal Park, which is a fantastic park and open-air museum. It features a historical mini-folk village that simulates life a century ago, and is very educational, plus farm animals, a botanical garden, and overall great experience for families. This park can easily take a whole day. I wish we could have spent more time in Helsingborg.

Nice city core with old houses.
Nice city core with old houses. Lots of nice pubs, restaurants and cafés. Brewskival beer festival with a very relaxed atmosphere. Taking the ferry to Helsingör/Elsinore ("tura"). Taking the ferry for a day trip to the small island of Ven is also highly recommended.

Good transport links.
Good transport links. Green bus travel- make sure you have a payment card per person. Travelled with husband and had a personal card that we loaded with the currency, to use during stay. Husband used the card to get a ticket and passed the card to me to swipe. Driver said 1 card- 1 person. Good job I had a bank card I could use!! Don't get caught out. No problem on the yellow buses though.

Pålsjöbaden the best state owned sauna on the sea!!
Best on winter when the sea is rough and dangerous. You can watch the container and cruising ships passing by.

Our visit to Helsingborg was totally spoilt due to the problem my son had with his rooms. His first room was not cleaned properly, he found a used tissue inside the toilet roll when he used it, also the mattress was filthy and it stunk. They moved him to another room right by to the elevator, it was noisy so he did not have a good night's sleep, we have complained with the desk, they told us to send a manager an email, we have still not received a reply
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Good choices for breakfast. The hotel lays by the harbour so it has both the sea and city view. Walking distance to the bus stop (if you want to visit Fredriksdal Museet, Tropikariet, Toy World or Väla shopping mall), few minutes walk to Helsingborg C (trains and the boat ride to Helsingör, Denmark), and good choices for stores and restaurants nearby. The hotel had great choice for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again, thank you Clarion Sea U!
The hotel is super children friendly. A lot of board games, a play room, welcome drinks for free for children and a small pool were just great. For us the location was perfect but it is a bit out of the city. The rooms were clean, nice and quiet. I was truly happy with this choice. I did not expect the hotel would be this nice. Also the personnel were great. The breakfast was rich, with many available options. Recommended!
Nice decor, very nice and accommodating staff. Enjoyed drinks on the roof terrace with beautiful views of sea, forest and city (limited choice and sold out items, though). Clever features in the rooms (well needed since the rooms are small!). However the bathroom is spacious. Easy location for walking around central Helsingborg. Easy check-in/out.
My room was clean and comfortable, with an amazing view across the Øresund strait and over the sea. The hotel is very convenient to the station, and to the ferry terminal. The 12th floor “Relax” area was wonderful, with great views, comfortable and fun seating and an outstanding sauna. The restaurant is lovely and the breakfast was terrific.
Amazing hotel at a very reasonable price. We did a small tour in Denmark/Sweden and by chance we stayed at a few Radisson hotels and I have to admit when it comes to price/comfort ratio, this one was the best. Great food selection at breakfast, excellent service and spacious and clean rooms.
Beautiful, historic property…especially the ornate bar/restaurant. Easy walk from the Denmark ferry. ONLY downside to the calmest city we visited in a 4 country tour. A disco below us thumped music till 3am! ASK for a room away from this side of the hotel.
The rooms are clean and the hotel lobby/restaurant is beautiful. Staff was friendly. Coffee and treats were appreciated in the room as it had been a long travel. Great location - settled in the area of Helsingborg next to the tower and across from the inlet.
I liked that there was no staff. In a way, it's a self-service hotel. Of course, the location is great, as it is quite central. The room was spacious, warm and light. It had everything necessary for a nice stay. I would recommend it for a short-term stay.
We were pleasantly surprised by now spacious this apartment was. It was very clean and had all we needed. Well stocked kitchen and beautiful windows with natural lighting. If we ever come back we would book again!
Beautifully decorated with warm, welcoming colours and ambience. The location and layout of the hotel was perfect for us who visited Helsingborg for the first time… The Vault made us want to visit the city more!!
The breakfast was great with good local produced products ( and great coffee ;) The location of the hotel great and also the parking space easy to park and close to the hotel.
All hotell staff very kind .
Excellent breakfast: good quality and lots of choices. Very friendly staff. Got a free room upgrade and it had beautiful wall paper decorations. It was in the back of the hotel so no noise of the bar.
Well appointed room in a historic building with all the required amenities. The restaurant is very cozy and the food served to a good standard. The spa access contributed to a sense of well-being.
Personel of this hostel is the best! Very helpful, warm people! Room was very pretty and tidy, same with the shared spaces, definitely would consider staying here again!
The room was very comfortable, spacious communal areas, and perfect location, with lots of parking and right next to a garage for easying fueling before onward journey.
Beautiful historic hotel in central Helsingborg. Nicely furnished rooms and pleasant décor. A diverse and fresh breakfast buffé with a spacious restaurant.
