Well located in the centre of Funchal, Barceló Funchal Oldtown provides air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a fitness centre. Featuring room service, this property also welcomes guests with a restaurant and a terrace. Guests can make use of a bar. This might’ve been my favourite accommodation out of our whole trip (we stayed in 5 different accommodations including this one, as we were travelling all around Portugal). This is a fairly new hotel but it is very high end, has wonderful staff, and location is superior. One of our highlights was the rooftop bar/pool you see in the photos. View was absolutely stunning. It’s steps away from the pier/marina, main city centre and tons of restaurants around. We plan to return to Madeira and spend more days there and we’ll be definitely staying here again. Hope this place succeeds and will still be here when we come back in a few years! Also, the prices were such a steal for high end this hotel is - I’m assuming it’s because it’s a new hotel.

The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. Three House - three words. They. Get. It. From the very warm welcome when we arrived, the lovely hotel tour we were taken on, to the beautifully furnished rooms. Everything felt just right. Like coming home. And not to forget mentioning the rooftop with 360° degree view of marvelous Madeira. Every single just detail seemed to be thoroughly considered when working out the concept of the hotel when it opened in 2019. Light scent of apple in the hallways, a fully equipped kitchen, a Harman Kardon bluetooth speaker and a TV that allowed you to stream your content via Apple AirPlay our Chromecast. What could mid-twenty travelers want more?! Not to forget the rooftop pool, DJ sets on the weekend and drinks that knock your socks off. Prior our arrival the Three House reached out via WhatsApp asking when we would arrive and whether transportation from the airport is needed. Like, did you ever communicate with a hotel through WhatsApp? Whenever we had a question or just wanted to know where the locals eat - we just sent a text and got the greatest recommendations that made our stay in Madeira even more memorable. Every hotel should just do that. It just feels so natural. If you visit Madeira and plan to stay in Funchal, this is the perfect place. It’s location in the city center with free parking let‘s you get to all attractions and Funchal’s old town in no time. Enjoy the traditional meat skewers and drink as much Poncha as you can (take it with ice though). If you fancy something more experimental, try the hotel restaurant with a sundowner drink on the rooftop after. The Three House just gets it how a hotel experience in the twenty first century should be. Thank you!

The rooms come with a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A balcony or patio are featured in certain rooms. Every room includes a private bathroom equipped with a shower. Location was perfect - city center, a lot of restaurants in surroundings, room was clean and silent, staff was very helpfull and friendly.

Amazing views and facilities, great service and entertainment, fantastic food and staff. All rooms feel like luxury rooms.

The 4-star Aqua Natura Madeira offers elegant rooms with Atlantic Ocean views in the fishing village of Porto Moniz, 45 km north of Funchal city centre. It offers a sauna on site.

Each accommodation is elegantly decorated and includes tea-and-coffee making facilities, a minibar, and a balcony with sea views. All rooms have a seating area with a sofa. Absolutely amazing place. We took a room with a balcony facing the seaview and it was 100% worth its' price. It is the best place I've ever been to. People working in the hotel are very helpful and nice. We also received a lot of nice gifts: a bottle of wine, sweets and snacks in our room - all included. The breakfast is quite nice and there are plenty of sweet treats in it. We loved every bit of this place and definitely plan to come back

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located in Sítio da Felpa, S. Jorge, Madeira Island. It offers an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation about 50 km from Funchal.

All Proteas’ rooms are heated and have a private bathroom. Some rooms have a kitchenette and sea views, while others have wooden sloped ceilings. Casa de Proteas is a lovely place to stay. Theresa was such a brilliant hostess, she made it feel like home.Breakfast was just right to set you up for the day. The food in the evenings was beautifully prepared. I would definitely recommend Casa de Proteas for a beautiful and relaxing holiday destination.

Casa Da Piedade’s rooms feature wood furniture, as well as a TV and telephone. Each private bathroom includes a walk-in shower. I’m so happy I randomly found this place - it’s so beautiful house😍 everything was perfect. one of the beast memories about Madeira
